Background of Operations:

Donor services wing of Seva Tarang focusses on the services we offer to Donors, Investors who wish to contribute to the social sector through donations or investment on the Social Stock Exchange.
The goal of this team is to facilitate ‘Ease of Giving’ for donors who wish to give but are not aware when, how and to whom to donate. This is done by providing different services to different donors such as:

  • Managing the philanthropy portfolio for the UHNIs and HNIs
  • Managing Grants and donations for Donor Advised Funds and
  • Managing investment / grants to be made from Social Impact Funds

The operations team will be responsible for facilitating deployment of funds, evaluation of NGOs, monitoring and tracking their projects and reporting to donors.

Job Description:

The Operations Manager will assist in providing Donor Management services to individuals, families, and corporate donors seeking to support nonprofit initiatives across India. An additional focus will be towards implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) frameworks to measure program outcomes and impact of projects going for listing on the Social Stock Exchange.
Reporting to senior leadership, this role involves working with donors/clients on their philanthropic journey while also understanding NGOs which form their impact portfolio. Work includes regular monitoring, NGO visits, handling disbursements, and creating tools such as dashboards & reports for the client. Ideal for a self-starter thriving in a dynamic, growing non-profit environment.

Responsibilities

Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)

  • Design and implement M&E frameworks for all programs
  • Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), outcome indicators, and impact metrics
  • Ensure data collection, verification, and reporting meets donor requirement
  • Manage impact dashboards and analyse trends to inform program adaptation
  • Plan NGO visits for on ground assessment and rapport building

Project & Donor Alignment

  • Support development of evidence-based impact narratives
  • Conduct midline and endline evaluations and present findings to internal and external stakeholder

Research & Learning

  • Facilitate learning workshops and after-action reviews for program teams
  • Document best practices, success stories, and lessons learned for scaling or replication
  • Commission and manage external evaluations or third-party impact assessments, as required

Requirements

Education:
Postgraduate in any discipline, preferably in fields of Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Policy, MBA (specializing in Sustainability/CSR)

Experience:

  • 5-8 years of experience in M&E, impact assessment, or research in NGOs, social enterprises, or CSR foundations.
  • Hands-on experience with CSR-funded programs, institutional donors, or international development agencies.
  • Proven track record in Logical Frameworks, Theory of Change, outcome mapping, and social impact measurement.
  • Experience with quantitative & qualitative research methods, data visualization, and donor reporting.
  • Programs with annual fund sizes of ₹5–25 crore (multi-donor portfolio preferred).
  • Familiarity with MEAL frameworks, global development indicators (SDG alignment) and Social Stock Exchange (SSE) reporting standards (good to have)
  • Tools: Excel, Power BI/Tableau or similar M&E tools
