While we help NPOs in diversifying their funding sources by getting them listed on the Social Stock Exchange (SSE), we also recognize that such listings are not possible without active participation by the investors.
Investors’ interest in the SSE has so far been lukewarm. The top two reasons are lack of awareness about SSE and trust deficit, that is a perceived lack of credibility of NPOs.
To complement our Nidhi Sahayak service, we have launched Seva Nivesh, a unique platform that brings together NPOs and potential investors.
On Seva Nivesh, registered NPOs can promote their listed projects by gaining access and visibility among the eligible empaneled investors. Similarly, the platform also helps the empaneled investors to discover qualified and curated NPOs they can trust.
To start with Seva Nivesh will facilitate fundraising through SSE listing. Over time, as more innovative financing instruments like Development Impact Bonds, Social Impact Funds, Blended finance structures are designed, implemented and gain traction, Seva Nivesh will also help NPOs raise funds through these instruments.
What does SSE matter?
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) started Social Stock Exchange (SSE) to help NPOs, and social enterprises raise funds beyond the traditional grants, donations and CSR support. However, navigating the SSE listing journey can be challenging for most NPOs, hence Seva Nivesh provides them the necessary support for listing on SSE.
