We are Seva Tarang, a non-profit organization that offers a range of back-office services to the social development sector, enabling non-profit organization (NPOs) to be free from the essential operational nitty-gritty and focus on their core mission.

When Harshu Ghate, our founder, decided to move away from his corporate career and contribute his knowledge and experience to the social sector, he had two choices. One was to establish an NPO that would work for a well-defined social cause, and the other was to strengthen existing Indian NPOs by using the skills and expertise he had gained over three decades.

The latter option presented greater potential. Thousands of NPOs and social sector organizations operating in India are making significant contributions in various spheres to improve the lives and livelihoods of the underserved. They are raising and deploying significant resources to benefit not only humanity but also the planet.

What if these organizations could be relieved of operational aspects such as accounting, legal Statutory compliances, HR functions, and others? What if we could provide these services, allowing NPOs to concentrate on their core work and achieve better outcomes more quickly?

Further research and contemplation led to the establishment of the Seva Tarang Foundation.
